Chicago Bears injury report: Kyle Monangai returns to practice, questionable for Buccaneers

The Chicago Bears will have to deal with some uncertainty on their roster for Sunday night’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Soldier Field. Running back Kyle Monangai (toe/thumb) returned to practice for the first time since he hurt himself in the Week 4 win over the New York Jets. Monangai returned in limited fashion Friday and was ruled questionable for Sunday’s game.Friday was an encouraging development for an injury that hasn’t had much of a timeline. Chicago avoided placing Monangai on injured reserve in the hopes that he could’ve returned sooner. Now the Bears will have to wait to see how Monangai feels Sunday to see how soon he can return to the field.
